Korn ft. Skrillex – Get Up (DJ Rebirth – Silent Hill Downpour – Unofficial Video Edit) (Explicit)

Silent Hill Downpour LogoWhen Silent Hill Downpour (sometimes known as “Silent Hill 8″) released in North America on March 13th, 2012, the game’s leading song (known simply as “Silent Hill”) was a specialty track produced and performed by Jonathan Davis of “Korn” (which is featured in some of the game’s trailers as well as intro movie).

Right around that time, Korn’s song “Get Up” (produced by and featuring Skrillex, released on May 6th, 2011) was starting to pick up some airplay speed, as Korn’s newest album “The Path Of Totality” had just released in early December 2011 with “Get Up” as it’s lead single (Check out the song on Youtube).

I was a huge fan of “Get Up”, and the moment I heard Korn was creating a song specifically for Silent Hill Downpour, I secretly wished that the song I loved was going to be made as the game’s lead track.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, however that didn’t stop me from recently creating a video featuring “Get Up” and the Silent Hill Downpour intro movie! I also added some creative footage on the end from a couple of the game’s different endings.

Please enjoy, and thanks for watching!

Chamillionaire ft. Krayzie Bone – Ridin’ (Clean) (DJ Rebirth ‘Sommerrodelbahn’ Austrian Roller Coaster Video Edit)

Sommerrodelbahn Rollercoaster in Mieders AustriaNow introducing DJ Rebirth’s Austrian hip hop super-long-title-video-edit-roller-coaster-video-edit!

Still with me? Awesome!

A few days ago, a couple friends on my Facebook news feed commented on a video involving a single rail gondola/cable car/ROLLER COASTER in Mieders, Austria called a “Sommerrodelbahn”. I watched the video, and only two thoughts came to mind: 1) “HOLY CRAP THAT LOOKS FUN!!” 2) “HOW IS THAT EVEN SAFE!??!?!”

Despite my concerns for safety over the exciting ride (articles on BBC and edp24), I still made the executive decision that this video needed a song to go along with it. After what seemed like hours of deliberation (okay, maybe like two or three minutes), I decided that Chamillionaire’s 2005 track “Ridin” (sometimes known as “Ridin Dirty”, which features rapper Krayzie Bone) would make the perfect musical/vocal accompaniment.

Taking matters into my own hands, I made my own version of the video (see the original ride video below) spliced with the ghetto bumpin’ OG (original below as well). Check out the by-product below, and feel free to drop me some love on Vimeo. Oh and for those of you that successfully survive all 3 minutes (in which you will either experience motion sickness or some involuntary twerkin’), I congratulate you. A WINNER IS YOU!

Thanks for watching.

Krewella – Alive (Cash Cash & Kalkutta Remix – DJ Rebirth Video Edit)

DJ Rebirth Jordan Jacobs in NYHi everybody!

(Hi Dr. Nick!)

I hope you didn’t miss me too much. It’s okay though, because I got rid of all the crickets (which doth chirp-ed since December 2012, the last time I posted on my blog). I hope to change that though, given the boom of WordPress blog sites in my life.

Anyways, enough mopey mumbo jumbo, let’s get to the hot stuff!

I’m a VJ, I love music videos, and I’ve wanted to make videos/edits for awhile. I finally grasped the technology to do so, and have awesome individuals on my team who excel in video industry magic.

With that said, I would like to present to you my first major video edit, of Krewella’s acclaimed song “Alive” (Cash Cash & Kalkutta Remix) (check Krewella out on Facebook / Twitter / Soundcloud / Youtube / Krewella.net, and Cash Cash on Facebook / Twitter Soundcloud / Youtube / cashcashmusic.com and DJ Kalkutta on Facebook / Twitter / djkalkutta.com).

I hope you enjoy. Check out the remix and original video below, followed by my video edit!

Hiatus Complete!

Hey EDM fans and fellow co-bloggers!

Well, it’s certain been as busy couple of months and I apologize for the lack of updates since late October. I’ve personally been working on a few different web-related projects while pursuing some more I.T. and software (PHP / LAMP, HTML5 and Javascript/JQuery) opportunities.

I’ve found a new venture will hopefully keep me busy for awhile (it definitely looks that way!). I’m also keeping busy Video DJing and hosting Karaoke at 710 Beach Club in Pacific Beach, San Diego!

With that said, expect regular EDM podcast updates from me! I will be posting a couple different podcasts from the past few weeks and some more recent stuff. In the EDM world, music is timeless (in fact music is released so frequently, a “new” song from a few weeks ago can be considered “old” very soon), so prepare yourself for some awesomeness.

Until we meet again, which I imagine should be very soon…… =)
